Scientific illustrations
January 27, 2022
Blender: Sierpinski lattice! A system used in the Science paper named "Fractal photonic topological insulators".
Blender: Sierspinski pyramid, my first fractal!
Blender: a staggered honeycomb lattice (a) made of micropillars (b). Thank you Ismael for the implementation of Python in Blender!
Blender: Fabry-Perot cavity
Blender: Hexagonal Boron Nitride lattice
Blender: Moiré lattice for an angle of 6.01°
Mathematica: Dispersion of graphene. Zoom on Dirac point.
Blender: Graphene-like lattice
Starting from now I am only using Blender for 3D figures. This software seems promising for scientific illustrations, and even for animation!
